Punta Cana Sounds Great
Hmmm..I guess that's all I had to say. I used to work with a girl from the Dominican Republic and the pictures she showed of her home made me think I'd like to visit.

October sounds great to me. That gives us enough time to line up a travel agent and payment schedules.
It's funny that you suggested the Dominic Republic. I recently interviewed a guy with the NFL that had just returned from a vacation to Punta Cana in the Dominic Republic and he was signing the island's praises.
I looked up flight prices and they were right at $450. The way things are looking if we want to go somewhere really nice, we're going to have to pay for it. The rooms for $100 sounds fine to me. Do you remember which hotel chain it was? Or was it like a resort?
Come on ladies, October will be here before we know it. Let's get our thinking caps on. Ask other friends and co-workers of great vacation spots, preferably an island with white sandy beaches and some umbrella dranks.

Nail This Thing Down By???
I'm going to say by October, maybe. And by nail it down, this means we'll know where we're going and what we're going to do there. Let's not pick a spot, and then decide our agenda. The decision should be made by what we can do there, AND the cost.
**The Domincan Republic has all inclusive resorts. So once you pay, atleast you won't have to pay for meals also. I looked it up, and the rooms were like $100/ per night. That sounds great to me.**

Checking in
Hey, I've just been reading and taking it all in. You all are such world travelers. I'm just trying to get to Key West. :-)
Once the date/destination/price are narrowed down, I'll know if I can get out of here.
Baby Joshua is fine. He's such a sweet baby. But I'll forward the info to Jabreel.

How will we make a decision?
I think we agree that we all just want to get away. Maybe we can narrow it down by what we are looking for in a vacation. I would like to go somewhere warm, preferably with access to a beach. It should have some cultural activities (so that I can feel that I actually saw the city), a lively nightlife (despite my bad dancing) and good food (hey, I like food). Someone else might want seclusion (Bora Bora) or good museums (London, Paris) or access to designer clothes (Singapore, Milan). The other consideration is probably cost, maybe we can narrow it down by price?
Derrilyn, I didn't know you felt so strongly about cruises!

Welcome Enid!!! Lisa, can you post?
Hey, Enid!
I hope you can get away with us! How about Jabreel? Do you think she'd be interested? How's the new baby doing?
I'm gonna give us a little while to throw things around, then we've got to zero in on a destination.
Lisa....????
Simone....????
Emilie P. Funk....????
FYI! Paul said we might be able to get a group rate on the airfare, flying Delta. I think the minimum is 10 people, and you just have to be paid in full 30 days in advance. So that may help a little. $500 to Bermuda is steep, IMO.
